I bought and used Nobeltec's Visual Navigator on a PC laptop for a year or two. It had some neat features, but between it, serial ports, the GPS, and Windows, it really had a ton of quirks. I have stopped using this system for navigation. Instead I bought charts on a chip for the Garmin GPS and just use the GPS -- with no more crashes! I now use a Macintosh laptop with the GPS to download/upload waypoints and track logs. It all works quite nicely. Oops -- that was electronic navigation I was talking about! Sorry about that! ;-) Dan
