    Its interesting that in those days the DR included "allowance for drift, lee-way and according to the ship's trim" whereas nowadays some would argue that including these allowances infers that an Estimated Position or EP is being derived.

    Am writing, in relation to many NavListers, from the future - its already 2011 here, with the detonations from fireworks subsiding.
