The DR comment was not meant in any way to flame Dan Hogan or any one else that prepare the Silicon Sea problems. He does a great job, and I for one have learned a lot about navigation via of this list and his efforts and the efforts of others who work on these problems. At first I started to send the comments only to Dan, but it had been so long since we did a Silicon Sea I had to go over the terminology of my Celesticomp V programs inputs. My real comment is about the program written for computer and calculator for navigation. To input data one must know the way the person who wrote the program define the terms for input. I agree with Mike Wescott - mike.wescott@XXX.XXX doing the work on a boat for yourself you know what you want. Now it may be a different situation if the Captain ask you to compute a plan a leg, do a DR, plot a course etc. The navigator would may have to defend his work and explain with definition of terms. Still............... Learning the Hard Way!!
