I have seen them in shops in the UK, brand new in the box. Physically they look like a copy of the Freiberger drum sextant. -----Original Message----- From: Alexandre Eremenko Sent: Thursday, March 29, 2012 11:31 PM To: zvidoron@btinternet.com Subject: [NavList] Re: Current Sextant Manufacturers Zvi, On Thu, 29 Mar 2012, Zvi Doron wrote: > Russian navy or not - the UK is flooded with SNO-T sextants. These probably come from e-bay. I have never seen one on e-bay made after 1990. Some of them are NOS (New Old Stuff, that is old but never used). So the question whether they are still made or not remains open. Alex. P.S. I also noticed that their price increased and is about the same as the price of used Freibergers and Tamayas now. Perhaps this is the effect of Bill Morris books:-) He says repeatedly that "probably this is the best sextant ever made". As I already mentioned, I tend to agree with this statement. : http://fer3.com/arc/m2.aspx?i=118576 ----- No virus found in this message.
