I don't think they're ecliptic-aligned. But why would anyone want ecliptic charts? Because that's where the Sun, Moon, and planets travel! Yes, I know that's obvious, but sometimes it's nice to have ecliptic-aligned star charts. In fact, I made one just recently for the standard "lunars" stars (attached, below).
