Forgive me for looking askance at this well-intended note: but the first rule for advice-takers concerning risky pursuits is: Has the advice-giver got any personal experience in the class of vessel, over the intended route? If not, I rely on my wife, who can easily over rule my experience in sailing a small boat into a Mediterranean gale, in favor of her own cautious approach: she will not board even a power launch on a calm lake more than once in five years! :-) Brian Whatcott Altus OK Eureka!
