    For some reason, most of the ships carrying cars to New England seem to come into Jamestown rather than Boston.  As a former Narragansett Bay sailor, I remember seeing them quite frequently.  

    As for beauty, these ships are functional -- simply large boxes that the shipper can fit as many cars in as possible.  I guess we can have an argument as to where they rank as compared to container ships. 

    The car cargo decks are only 5' high -- plenty of vertical room for cars (although I guess these days they need higher decks for SUVs), but not a good place for drivers of any stature at all.   I guess that's where jockeys work when they retire from the racetrack...
