Re: Corrections for use of artificial horizon at 1,000' MSL?

    Hello Scott,

Ref your query about getting an appropriate value for refraction correction at 1000 ft, I would get the actual air pressure at your observation location and use the Nautical Almanach tables refraction values mulitiplied by "actual pressure / standard pressure used in the Nautical Almanach".

Unless you use specific tables for 1000 ft - there shouls exixt some - this is about the best you can get, apart from also correcting for "non standard" temperature correction.

    Best Regards

    Kermit
