You could use the 1977 almanac for sun's GHA and declination, but you would need a calculator or SR table to reduce the sight. Almanacs for the sun repeat pretty closely every four years. To the best of my knowledge Bowditch had a 3- or four-page long term almanac--called Appendix H--through the green-covered editions, based on the same principle. As I recall the NA reduction table didn't come in until 1989 (?)
