See attached a set of 10 Sun observations from this afternoon using an AH H2O shielded, Navy MK 3 sextant with 2 power scope, stopwatch with split function, and Palm Pilot cell phone app. 5 index error checks were made that averaged close to zero. Intercepts were all better than 1' with the average at 0.2' away. Its still a small sample but there is probably a few tenths of index correction to add. The Sun was superimposed for determining index error and AH altitude. You should quickly be able to improve intercepts to no worse than 1.5' with practice and some statistics.
