    Yes, this is the reason why I usually come this way. No affected by variation or deviation.

    In the test only one bearing was took against the true one. The average error is 12.5º

    Not sure how your compass error could affect the angles you measured, if it is a constant 12.5°?  The bearings themselves would be inaccurate but the differences between them (the angles) should be OK.
