Kieran Interesting. My decades old Type 7 baseplate model does indeed say "Type 7 NL" in red ink. NL = North latitudes? My Ranger Type 15 (now Type 15 TDCL) which must be at least a decade old, does not have any such zone that I can find with reading/magnifying glasses. Exactly where on the baseplate did you locate the inscription? Thanks Bill
