No I haven't had the pleasure of using a SNO. But in one picture I've seen of an SNO-T the scope is quite long, looking like it could have an internal focal plane like the Navy Mark II. If that's the case, it would have similar optics. In Bill's book, Fig 3.24. the SNO-T has a short scope, certainly looking like a Galilean.
And yep, I should have been more prudent in my phrasing: Of all the sextants that I've seen ...
