You have time to remove the radium paint and substitute modern photoluminescent paint applied over an undercoat of white paint.
Rather than scrape it off, with the slight chance of producing dust to be inhaled or swallowed, you can mop it off with acetone or nail varnish remover and bury the rag somewhere.
Wash you hands afterwards...
