    Good Day to All!

I was at Mystic Seaport this past weekend and the Morgan has been lifted out for hull maintenance and painting. It will not be out again for a couple of years because Mayflower is coming to the Ship Yard for major repair. Repairs to the Mayflower are substantial including hull planks and one or two ribs. Who knows what else will be found when it is high and dry. Mayflower will be at Mystic for 30 months. I recollect the repair cost is $ 3 million USD. Bet it will be more...never less . By the way, Mystic Seaport has a new major building that somewhat looks like a breaking wave. Love the design or hate it, but the building is quite interesting and environmental friendly. It provides much needed space for major exhibits.  There is also a Viking Long Ship there. Very long. Really amazing. The crew has told some very interesting stories about their passage. Must be a website somewhere.
