    My bad.  My Celestaire case is an Underwater Kinetics unit, and UK's web
    site claims they are ABS.  3M 5200 does not like ABS, Lexan, and some other
    plastics.  If you could screw a flat piece of ABS on the end of a wood
    support rod, you might be able to use plumbing ABS cement to attach it to
    the lid.

    Pelican claims to be made of "copolymer polypropylene."  Not sure what to
    recommend there.
