Yes John, I had a reply from Ken stating that if you proceed carefully with the C&P bubble attachment (i.e averaging two readings from the top and bottom of the bubble) it can provide a precision of 1 minute of arc and this would be the same as with an aircraft bubble sextant MK IXA for instance.
