George and all- Our ONR replied to me today saying: " Thank you for contacting the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Reports and studies of the sort you request are not retained by ONR. They are archived at the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC). You may request documents from DTIC through their website, http://www.dtic.mil. Thank you for your interest in Naval science and technology." (signed) Mike Bland Office of Naval Research Public Affairs Office (703) 696-5031 I haven't found Schufeldt's report yet, but that web site has a search engine that turns up such terribly bizarre things as papers on celestial navigation ON THE SURFACE OF MARS. I wonder what kind of tables one would use for lunars there--Demos and Phobos is it?
