A very good summary of the lunar distance method is John M. Luykx, "Determining Longitude by Lunar Distance Observation (Parts 1-3)" in issues 54, 55,& 56 of The Navigator's Newsletter. The web site of the publisher, "The Foundation for the Promotion of the Art of Navigation" should get you leads on getting a reprint. The USPS magazine, The Ensign, ran a shorter article with the method in the August 1991 issue. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-= =-= TO UNSUBSCRIBE, send this message to majordomo@ronin.com: =-= =-= navigation =-= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=
