    Well, it's all installed.  'had a small amount of difficulty on account
    of my not
    having had the mouse connected during the installation, but simply
    running
    /usr/sbin/mouseconfig seemed to cure it.
    
    'now to port my code from Win32 console mode (should be trivial...)
