Purdue freshman engineering gave you a specific list of what to buy
including books for your classes, graph paper, Post Versalog, and
engineering graphics tools. No substitutions allowed.

As to my old HP 11-C, they fit nicely in a shirt pocket,

A humorous sidebar, at least to an old marcom maven, was the first Sony
Walkman. It was shown nested in a shirt pocket. Truth be known, it would
not fit in a standard shirt pocket. The display shirts were custom made
    with an oversize pocket!

Yes, I found one in my dad's drawer after he passed. Can't recall the
make or diameter, but I have it stashed in storage in West Lafayette,
(home of Purdue) with most of my stuff.
