Tony Oz & Jeremy C,
Jeremy, I alluded to the earlier identified discrepancies in my posting of March 13, 2020, 11:47AM, in the first paragraph of that message. I will clarify further to say that the GHA's, corrected for v, should have been, for the 19.00.00hr = 349°15.5' (349.26°), and for the 20.00.00hr the corrected GHAmoon = 3°15.5' (3.69°).
Jeremy, I see you approached answering my question differently than did Tony. I am intrigued by your approach but will leave that explanation to a later date.
Tony Oz, I am happy to anounce that I am confident enough in visualizing the proportional approach you showed me and so much so that I'm ready to share it at our local navigation study group. However, I also know that at the last meeting of our group, no one was certain how to utilize the table for the Sun & Moon meridian passage (mer. pass.) shown at the bottom right hand cornor of all the odd numbered daily pages. That's what I'd like to hear from you about now; would you explain how that table is used? After which my curriousity may turn to Jeremy's approach in solving the GHA = 0, Universal time question.
Thank you, both,
