    I found this image of the CPU50AP.  

    No idea what the green disk does, but examining the image shows the remainder to be an AE curve overlayed on a polar base. In other words, the same basic concept as the Rude Star Finder.

    The image appears to show the increments for latitude adjustment, but lacks detail.  Further, the bundle of AE curves seems to show the slot used in the adjustment, again, not enough detail.

    I'd be interested to hear, Ed, why you think the CP-300/U to be a superior device.

The CP-300/U was a nicely crafted device and, in my opinion, much better than the 2102-D but it never seemed to have reached popular use or mass production (one could imply the other). I suspect the higher cost of manufacturing was the reason the cheaper 2102-D became the 'standard'.

    Post some images of the CPU50A/P if you can.
