'Snuffers' - that's what he called them: I don't now if this was his personal word for the glass crushing pliars. Could be an incorrect term used in the spectacle glazing industry in the UK I would guess. Also probably used because they look like candle snuffers with the joint being forwards of the two flat plates which do the glass crushing/grinding. I am sure you are right and 'grozing' is the correct term if that is what is used in the stained glass trade. I forgot to mention I used an ordinary slow RPM wetstone (lots of water for cooling) for final edge grinding to exact shape of course after the roughing-out to shape by the 'snuffers' - grozing pliars.
