I cannot see how a press of any form can do this. Both glass lenses are sitting in a recess with lead washer on top. The Fairchild is easy to remove the glass lenses as there is plenty of room at teh sides of teh glass to gently prize it away from its seating. The Link was a different story. It would only work hydraulicaly if the chamber can be filled hydraulicaly and put under pressure from the inside. This was how I did it in fact, after cutting away the large lead washer which was firmly stuck in place... by pressuring with a large glass syringe which fits the filling hole nicely and pressing the plunger fast. _Disadvantage - get ready to catch the lens as it blows of its seating like a bullet! I should have done it with water - but tried this first. It worked more effectively than I expected.
