Those amongst us who enjoy owning and using these sextants may be interested to hear of a newly written manual in Adobe Acrobat format covering detailed repair and reconditioning of this model. It is currently being sold on eBay under auction #230159242513, seller name okianga.
I have no pecuniary interest in the manual but having purchased it, read it and compared it with my experiences repairing my own Mark IX sextants, I can unreservedly recommend it to anyone with basic manual skills and an interest in keeping these sextants in operating condition.
