Bob,
Attached is a sketch showing all the angles on my last set of Bris prototypes. What I tried to do was max out on the useful Sun reflections which didn't need shading. Trial and error was use holding three slides and changing the gap while viewing the reflections then measuring the gap when the best spread was found.
