    Bris does not work

According to a version of Parkinson Law, the things break and
malfunction. Even those things which cannot break.

Yesterday on a rare sunny day I went on a day trip to Helgoland.
To play with my new dip-meter and Bris. (My Bris was not used for
several years, living in its native box, in my appartment).

To my enormous surprise I found that ony 3 Sun images are visible!
(About 5 years ago, when it was new, I graded it, and have records:
8 Sun images were visible and graded. 3 of them were very bright, but
the rest were very well visible).

I have absolutely no idea what could hapen to it?
Could it be that the glass surfaces had some special reflective coating
    which
deteriorated?? That's the only possibility that comes to my mind.

I understand that my eyes quality deteriorates with age. But VERY slowly.
The day was absolutely clear, not a single cloud.
I tried it repeatedly, with different altitudes... Now tried again from my
window. Only 3 bright Sun images.

    Alex.
