I used the Bowditch long-term almanac for some Silicon Sea sights. As I recall, it was within a minute of the Nautical Almanac. Usage is more complex, though. It's slower and there's greater chance of a mistake. Finally, you can't get moon or planetary positions from such an almanac. There's not much to the long-term almanac. A decent typist could reproduce the instructions and tables in a weekend. (No, I'm not volunteering.) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-= =-= TO UNSUBSCRIBE, send this message to majordomo@XXX.XXX: =-= =-= navigation =-= =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=
