Not boring me.... I went back and checked my Palm pilot's distance off formulas, I had some of the same troubles you had setting them up. I can email an Excel spreadsheet that has inputs for all the distance off parameters (height in feet, height by sextant, index error, height of eye in feet) and combines them to produce the distance off in nautical miles. I imported this spreadsheet into my Palm which has MiniCalc on it and it runs fine. Let me know if it would be helpful to you. With them I found a pure clerical error in my formula entry. Incidentally, I had intended my last note to go only to you, as it didn't seem of general interest. But is seems you _are_ the list, at least from a 'reply to sender' point of view. Sorry if I'm boring others. Martin
