I think I'm the source Tom is referring to. At any rate, off list I recommended he get a mid-80's edition if at all possible. The point is the overal discusions are still current (save for information on electronic navigation systems, perhaps) and this is the last two-volume edition before the bean counters trimmed the book to one volume. The added tables may or may not be needed but it's better to have them and not need them than vice versa. Rick S/V One With The Wind, Baba 35
