A quick trip to the NIMA website below shows a new version of Bowditch PUB NO. 9 Edition 2002 . The Bicentennial Edition. in Adobe Acrobat format You need Acrobat reader V 5.0 or later to view it. I'm using V 5.0.5 This is the first version available in CD-ROM format. The fromt Matter gives a brief printing history of the versions and references major revisions in 1958 and 1995. There are references to 'other content' on the CD-ROM which can not be included in printed works. The is also a clear statement that this is not a historical document and material will be deleted as it is superseded by newer technology. SO KEEP YOUR OLDER VERSIONS FOR REFERENCE. Has anyone reviewed this new version? or seen the CD-ROM version? IF you have, What is the 'other content'?? PS: Table 7 presents the Length of a Degree of Latitude and Longitude tabulated as a funtion of Latitude in 1 degree increments. Tony Cappiello http://pollux.nss.nima.mil/pubs/
