LOL. It dawned on me a few minutes after that last post that I actually own a volume by Taylor. I detached myself from the Internet umbilical, got off the couch and crossed the great abyss to my most distant bookcase, six whole feet away. And there on the shelf is the very same volume that's digitized on googlebooks, Navigation Simplified, Taylor, 3rd ed., 1837.
