There's a fine little book that's sold in the souvenir shop at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. It's titled simply "Harrison" and it's a nice supplement to Sobel's "Longitude" which some readers have complained is short on details about John Harrison's actual clock-making work. This little book by Jonathan Betts fills in some of that without getting tedious. I also found his discussion of the final process of awarding Harrison his money interesting and very thorough. The book is an inexpensive paperback. It sells for six pounds (about ten US dollars). I highly recommend it.
