After a little experimenting I found that 25mg of promethazine alone let me do the paperwork and then when I stretched out on my berth, helped me doze off.
Also, on several delivery trips when we had neophytes aboard, the 25mg worked for them and let them get some rest. Usually, in a short time, they were able to stand watches and be useful again - generally after raiding the larder, chowing down! :-)

I was told that space nausea was far worse than seasickness so what ever works up there should be effective on rough waters. Promethazine/Ephedrine will be an experimental addition to my medicine chest. Scopalamine works but needs to be applied before bad weather hits.
When working with tables, numbers, charts, and fine print during rough going I take a break every few minutes for a look at the horizon and a few drags of pure air.
