Dear all
Subscribers to this list will no doubt be interested in a major research project currently being undertaken by the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, London and the Department of History and Philosophy of Science, Cambridge on the history of the British Board of Longitude.
We have a website at www.nmm.ac.uk/longitude. This includes basic information on the project and a blog, to which we are constantly adding bits and pieces. We will be adding other resources as the project advances over the next 4 years and will use the site to advertise forthcoming events etc.

Curator of the History of Navigation
