Does anyone have any manuals or other informaton on the use of the Battenberg course indicator as used on ships to track other ships in a convoy, distance to ships to be attacked etc. I have a Mark 5 from 1954 which is distinctly different from the earlier versions in having only two arms. There is surprisingly little information on the internet, other than on the earlier Mark IV. Am I correct that the Mark 5 was to be used in combination with radar ranging only? Thanks for any information. Ronald

It’s where the RN train their Specialist Navigators, so they’ll have a museum.  Unfortunately, they’ll probably also be very busy, so you’ll need to spin a good line.  DaveP
