    Basque Whalers

I  was visiting an exhibition on the Basque whalers in the Naval Museum in San Sebastian - Donostia
We were the first to commercially hunt whales, mainly from XII to XVIII century, So we are guilty of the whale is in danger of extinction.

Frank talked us about a reproduction of a whaler vessel in Mystic, and the logbooks of the whalers in the XIX century.
Now I am wondering how they navigated from Europe to America in the XVI century, see IMGP6538.JPG.
