Two not well known short novels by Forester are "The Gun" and "Riffle Man Dodd". Neither nautical, both set in Napoleon era Spain. "The Gun" was made into a truly awful movie.
Hewitt: yes I have read eight or ten novels by O'Brian. I have quoted Master and Commander for the film, several friends of mine have known O'Brian through it.
George Huxtable: I know the film “Captain Horatio Hornblower” with Gregory Peck, but no Forester's novels. I am going to put these in my list.
Thanks to all.
