It's hard to take high altitude sights from a balloon

Hence my question.  Nevertheless, Peter Ifland includes a page or two on balloon sextants, but nowhere can I find copy on actually using celestial in the air prior to around 1919, except possibly in Wright, Monte Duane. Most Probable Position, A History of Aerial Navigation to 1941. Lawrence, Kansas: University Press of Kansas, 1972 , of which I haven't got a copy.  If anyone has it, perhaps they could take a look for me.  The postage from the USA would cost almost as much as the book.  Thanks DaveP
