All kidding aside, I have a pair of gloves with open > fingers that make winter sights bearable. For winter photography I have a pair of gloves with open fingers, and a mitten flap that pulls over them to warm the digits up between shots. I have also found batting gloves (buy a left and a right-handed model) keep off the spring chill. The leather is very supple and affords a good grip and touch. Paired with the open-finger mittens they form a cozy combo. Bill
