    Correct. For the two river crossings that I noted, the best guess is 
    within 0.1 mile (the river has not changed course) but it's possible that 
    Fidler took the observation from farther away than that but didn't record 
    the exact location. For the others, I would say the longitudes are within 
    +/- 1 mile and the latitudes are within +/- 2 miles (but most of them will 
    be better than that).  The Thompson data is better because we know exactly 
    where he was through modern surveying of the archaelogical site.
    I have literally thousands of observations in Fidler's journals so I'm 
    sure I can find better examples where the position is more certain, but he 
    might also have a different sextant for those. If I find better data I 
    will post it.
