The difference between the One-body/sight fix, (see attached paper), and the fix by MSH LoP and Z-Lop is:
- the first is a direct method to calculate the position by one sight defined by altitude and azimuth measurement. No DR is needed.
- Fix = MSH LoP intersect Z-LoP, presumed an error in the measured azimuth, and DR is needed. For Z-LoP observed and calculated azimuth, altitude and latitude are inputs.
