    In it George Huxtable et al examine several formulas for finding azimuth.
    In the textbook formula I provided you, I do indeed run into trouble with
    extremes (even a hypothetical body with LHA 5, Dec 60 N, and Lat 40N
    produces azimuth figures that I know are off--can't be 0d.  Extremes are not
    handled well with the formula I provided and my TI-30XA.  For example
    calculation of the Hc and azimuth of Polaris gives me an azimuth for Polaris
    than cannot be right--to0 large.  Not by a ton, but still...
