Bill, you wrote: "mindful of Frank's request not to overburden this site with attachments." To the contrary! Attachments are welcome. But if you have something you want to post, just take a few minutes to make sure that its size is appropriate. The problem with those examples I described in an earlier post (and they were only examples) was that they were bandwidth hogs. With a few simple steps it was easy to reduce the size of each by over 95% with no loss in meaningful content at all. And of course, I also went to some effort a few months ago to add a function that lets you attach files "in effect" without wasting any email bandwidth by using the "link" function through fer3.com/arc. That way, you can provide arbitrarily large content to those NavList members who take an interest in that particular content without burdening the email inboxes of those members who may not be interested. It requires only one extra click to get to the linked files (with most email readers). Also, there will soon be a new way to add certain special types of small attachments to NavList messages automatically. For a little preview of this, visit http://www.fer3.com/arc/sneakpeek.aspx. When you get there, click "Submit" and then scroll down to see what you get. You can experiment by entering your own equations and playing with the "Options" but please bear in mind that this is under construction, and it doesn't always work correctly. -FER --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
