Subject: [NavList] Astrocompass in Airbus A320

I just flew this morning and put my astrocompass to use. I flew over a predetermined fix at a specific time and made some precomputations to find the Sun LHA. I dialed on the astrocompass the Sun LHA, declination and aircraft atitude. I made sure it was aligned and level properly. I was able to read true heading and adjust for variation to obtain magnetic heading. It was correct within two degrees. Fascinating how accurate it is. Has anyone used the astrocompass before at night?
