It seems we have shifted a bit from navigation and talk about the industry in
China. It is undisputable that most of the "Made in China" stuff you find in US
and other places including Hong Kong are cheap and crumsy. It is not because
Chinese can't make good things. The reason is majority of the production lines
in China are set up by small business men who are taking the advantages of
small capital investment, cheap labour, low standard, lose quality control,
poor management , high profit margin and fast return on their investment. Yet
somebody is clever enought to take only the cheap labour in China and add
additional quality control to it to produce something that is value for money.
