Fred, Do you know the accuracy of the Cassens-Plath art horizon? I think 0.5' of the Friberger is too crude. (They should really make something better for $900:-) Last weekend I could consistently obtain Sun altitudes with less than 0.2' error in every single measurement, and less than 0.1' in the average of a series of 3, with a Davis art horizon filled with vegetable oil. (The results for the Moon altitude were much worse). Alex.
