Do there exist good maps on Internet? Let me try to explain what I need.
I am reading various books on old exploration travels, like
    Baffin, Barentz, Cook or Vancouver.
I need a good map to refer to.
I mean a map which would have islands, capes, rivers, straits, bays, montains
etc. and other geographical features, with their names.
And mostly of uninhabited places, like Canadian Arctic islands.

You can download free images of Canadian topographic maps from www.canmaps.com. All of the uninhabited places will be there but the names used by those explorers may not always appear on these maps. These maps were produced by the Canadian Geographic Survey.
