    uhm, it seems the Stellarium measuring tool is ok.
    BUT, it is VERY hard to use in an exact manner, I get precision not much better than 1'. true, for a quick check of a dropped sextant 1' is quite ok, but for anything else...

    If i could I would add one feature.
    To be able to click on the first object (while holding say Alt or shift) then click on object 2 and as result one would get the regular data displays for both (Dec, Ra...) AND distance.
    one can always dream.
